Well, off I go, anyway. My whole life is collected in boxes right now. This afternoon I'll do laundry, and then I can disconnect the washer and dryer so they'll be ready to go when the movers get here tomorrow. This morning I'm going bowling. You have to keep your priorities straight.
Tomorrow will be the fun day. Movers in the morning, then the carpet cleaner comes by, and the "got junk" people to pick up the stuff I decided not to take with me. You have to cull when you move. Ask yourself how much you really need a 15" CRT monitor that has been sitting in the box for the last five years pretending to be a bedside table, or a 25" TV/VCR/DVD combo that weighs 140 pounds and only displays the bottom 3/4 of the picture. And since I'm moving into a townhouse, I really don't need the yard tools, either, but those I'll just leave here and the tenants can use them once the house is rented.
Odds are good the tenants will also walk off with them, but I really don't care. I am taking the chain saw and hedge trimmers, not so much because I think I'll have a use for them, but just on general liability principles. You try not to leave stuff people can hurt themselves with.
